Me and my camera, Nikon D750

A theoretical physicist exploring the world of photography. I am currently living in my hometown of Sofia, Bulgaria, after many years of studying and working abroad in Germany, Netherlands and Italy. I am still traveling often around the world and taking photos of different people and places, which I will try to collect and describe here. I hope you enjoy my posts!

I’m still a beginner photographer full of enthusiasm and I think (hope) that my style develops with time, so every new post will hopefully be better! In any case I will be very happy to hear out your feedback and ideas either here or on my email, kirilson@gmail.com.

Don’t be shy to follow me either here or on my fb page https://www.facebook.com/kirilsonphotography.

Take care, Kiril

  1. Kiril,
These are incredible photographs! They certainly do not look like those of a beginner. I hope I will have the opportunity to use one or more in my blog (with your permission of course).I’m glad you found my little corner of the world and thanks for following my blog. Welcome to the fence jumpers. @sheilamgood at Cow Pasture Chronicles. Best of luck with your adventure and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

  2. Hello, Kiril. I came over to thank you for following my site, and, naturally, I had to browse through some of the posts. Your pictures are terrific. I also discovered that you are from Sofia, Bulgaria. I was so excited to learn that because my dad’s family are from Sofia and the surrounding area as well. My father has gone on to be with the Lord now, but several years ago he had the opportunity to visit all of his relatives who are still in Bulgaria and discovered he had a sister he had never known about. Don’t ask me why my grandfather (who came to the States and re-married) never told my dad about the daughter still in Bulgaria. I don’t have a clue. But it was a very happy meeting and a wonderful blessing for my dad. Unfortunately, we have failed to keep in close touch with all the cousins, now that my dad and his sister are both gone. But I’m glad to ‘meet’ someone else who is from there.

  3. Wonderful collection of photos and commentary! I’ve looked through several of your posts – well done!!My wife and I spent some of our honeymoon in Amsterdam – 35 years ago! I still have a collection of Kodachrome transparencies from that trip. My favourites were some nite shots of the canals and closeup face shots of the lcoals. My poor wife got to carry my tripod! I’m planning to digitize some of those slides and see how turn out.

  4. You truly a more accomplished photographer than you give yourself credit for! Lovely perspectives and angles. Thanks for following Oh, the Places We See. I really am a beginning photographer, but I love to take photos wherever I go. Best wishes for success in all.

  5. Thanks a lot for following my blog. I found your photos really inspiring and will also follow you with pleasure. I was once in Bulgaria – in a very non-touristic and remote little town – Melnik. I also saw the monasteries and other towns around. It’s a very poor region but that’s what I like in travelling the most: places that show real life of ordinary people.

  9. The wedding photograph with the bubbles is very beautiful and looks professional, as do a number of other pictures.

Thanks for liking one of my tea reviews. It has been hard to get attention on them.

  10. Kiril, Thank you for the “like” recently on my post. God has blessed me with a wicked sense of humor and I try to spread it wisely. People like you keep me going.
